I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. Psalms 18:3
David wrote Psalms 18 as a song to the Lord after he had been delivered from Saul and all of his enemies. As a believer we have access to our Father and can call upon Him any time day or night. Jesus has triumphed openly over the enemy of our souls, but until we see the last enemy put under His feet there will be battles. The war has already been won at Calvary when Jesus crushed the head of the serpent. It is incumbent upon us to gather the spoils. He has given us victory over our enemies and we always triumph in Jesus name. He is worthy of all praise. In Revelation we see in heaven the twenty-four elders and then myriads of angels praising the Lord singing, "Worthy is the lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world." We praise Him for what he has done; we praise Him for what He is doing; we praise Him for what he will do, but most of all we praise Him for who He is. We shall be saved from our enemies because we already have been.
