A Psalm for Today: Psalms 29:2

Give unto the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. Psalms 29: 2

How much glory is the Lord due? All of it, He is worthy of all glory and praise. The Father seeks those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. He desires that we worship Him with all that we are, body, soul, and spirit Holiness is beautiful. In Isaiah 6 we see that the holiness and glory that emanated from the Lord was so brilliant that even the seraphim, who were created to abide in His presence could not look at Him. One cried to another and said, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!" He is holy. In Him is no blemish, no shadow of change, and complete purity. Even His shadow is filled with light. For us to be holy, we must be in Christ. To be holy is to be wholly committed or separated unto Him. That is a worship that is pure, without alloy and is beautiful to the Lord. To worship in the beauty of holiness is offering holy worship from a wholly committed heart to a holy and wholly beautiful Lord.
