Psalms 6:6 A Psalm for Today

" I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with tears." Psalms 6:6

   Most of us can identify with David. His psalms reflect the depths of feeling that we have all felt, but have not been able to express. In this psalm we see David in a time of distress crying before the Lord. Many of have been in that place where we feel overwhelmed. It seems God has forsaken us. God is aware of our trial. he has kept our tears in a bottle. In David's case it needed to be a big bottle. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. Often times, though we cannot see what God is doing, He is working behind the scenes. We see David at Ziklag having lost everything and his men so distressed that they were talking of stoning him. The scripture says David encouraged himself in the Lord. At the very time this was taking place a battle was raging in which the outcome would thrust David into the first part of his destiny.  Be encouraged today that God is working behind the scenes in your situation.  We can state with confidence that He is working all things together for our good because we love Him and have been called according to His purpose.
